Do I have to sign a long-term lease? No, our contracts at Avalon Properties are month-by-month.

What is required for me to move in? We require a signed contract plus your first month's rent, your driver's license and a major credit card for you to move in. Your first month will be prorated if you move in after the first of the month.

When is my payment due? Payments are due on the first of each month. NOTE: Avalon Properties does not send out invoices unless the tenant specifically requests one.

Are there late fees? Yes, there is a $35 late fee charged to your account if your account is not paid by the 10th of the month.

What is your lockout policy? Avalon Properties reserves the right to lockout any tenant that is over 30 days past due. Once you are locked out you must pay your balance in full to have access once again to your storage unit.

What forms of payment do you accept? We accept all forms of payment - cash, check, money order or credit card.

Where can I make my payment? Payment may be made by sending or bringing payment to our office, dropping a check or money order in our drop box (NO CASH) or calling to set up credit card payment.

Are your storage units temperature controlled? No, our storage units have no temperature controls whatsoever. It is not recommended that you store anything in our units that could be damaged by heat, cold or humidity.

Is your facility security controlled? No, we do not have any security at Avalon other than locks on the doors.

What may I store in my storage unit? You may store anything LEGAL in your storage unit.

What may I use my storage unit for? You may use your storage unit for any LEGAL activity.

Are there any specefic activities that I cannot use my storage unit for? Yes, you may not use your storage unit for any illegal activity. You may not live in your unit for any period of time. You may not store stolen goods.

What are some types of businesses that currently use the Avalon storage units? We currently house several types of business including landscaping/construction, painting, tile, auto body shop, auto detail shop, granite countertop, mechanical and electric

Are there any types of discounts that I may have? We offer a multi-unit discount that is handled on an individual basis.

May I alter my storage unit in any way? Yes, with permission of an Avalon officer you may alter your storage unit in a way that adds value to the storage unit or facility.

Do the storage units have electricity? Yes, all of our units have lights and a regular 110 outlet.

Is there access to water? Yes, there are currently several spigots on the property available for tenant's use.

Do I have to pay extra for water or electricity? Avalon Properties reserves the right to charge tenants extra who frequently use water and electricity. Normal, infrequent use does not have an extra charge.

May I sublease part of my unit? No, Avalon signs the contract with one tenant and that tenant is solely responsible for all charges and fees.

Does Avalon provide locks for the storage units? No, you must provide your own lock or purchase a lock from Avalon Properties. However, many units come with a lockable bay door. Avalon will supply the tenants of these units with a key.

What times do I have access to my storage unit? 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
